So with Moeaki on PUP how will that work? I thought that PUP players couldn't play until week 6 of the regular season, am I missing something here? Who is going to play TE for our first few weeks?

Only if he's still on PUP for week 1 of reg. season.

he's on active PUP. Meaning he can come off the list any time during camp. Once the final cutdown to 53 happens is when they do the regular PUP and the 6 week thing like you are talking about. So no he can sit out a few days or whatever and then return.

I remember him being fairly mobile, but IIRC he had at one point the most running TDs in one season of any QB in NFL history or something.

I'm just barely too young to remember the Chuck Fairbanks era, which is too bad as they had some great teams. The '78 team still holds the NFL record for team rushing yards, IIRC.

But yeah, then Ron Erhardt and Ron Meyer. Brief bit of redemption with Raymond Berry, and then Rod Rust and Dick MacPherson. *shudder* Some BAD years.

Heard from another Cowboys' source this morning, however, that they are "lurking" in the cornerback Nnamdi Asomughu sweepstakes. If not him, then who? As of right now they are starting at safety Akwasi Owusu-Ansah and Barry Church.
