Breaking News: The Chiefs have traded DT Tank Tyler to the Carolina Panthers for an undisclosed draft pick in 2010.

UPDATE-The Chiefs got a fifth-rounder in 2010 for Tyler. Per Kent Babb twitter

Could have had him gain weight but he worked his way down to below 310 in the '08 offseason and stayed at that weight and played well last year and this year. Tank will prolly be ok in Carolina. I think he is one of the guys kind of caught in the middle in this scheme. He just doesn't have the transferable strength to the field nor leverage abilities to play nose in a 30 front. I think Tank will prolly end up a pretty solid rotational guy in a 40 front if he can keep his weight in check.
