Computers How much can I sell my laptop for?

Just curious if someone can help me appraise my laptop in case I decide to sell it on Ebay (just bought a tablet and I'm not sure I need a PC, laptop and a tablet)...

I have an HP Pavilion dv6000 (part of the 6700 series, model # dv6911us)...

I have upgraded the OS to Windows 7 Professional, I upgraded the battery to a 12 cell, and I had to replace the hard drive.

Specs:

AMD Turion 64X2 Mobile Technology TL-60 2.00 GHz
3.00 GB RAM
160 GB HD (recently reformatted so there is literally nothing on this computer other than a clean install of Windows 7, google chrome, windows defender, and full tilt poker)

Laptop has no blemishes in appearance, either.

What do you guys think?

Wouldn't the ebay market determine the price? List it high. If it doesn't sell, list it again with a lower minimum. Eventually someone will buy it.

With that being said...what kind of video card? I'd probably buy it for $250 if I was in the market for a mediocre laptop.

I still think my roommates poured water on me because I have literally never pissed myself and I black myself out all the time...but once they found out they ****ed my laptop up I don't think they wanted to admit it...

but it was a simple fix...just had to replace the hard drive...it worked out, too...because I hated Vista and it prompted me to upgrade to 7 which is so much better.

I won't bother for $200...

I see an inferior/older version of this laptop going for $199 on ebay right now with free shipping (1 bid)...but it has only 2 GB of RAM, the picture shows a lot of wear and tear, and it only has a 6 cell battery (although some prefer a smaller battery)...and it is running Vista.

So...I'd hope I could get $300...

but if not, I won't even bother...

ah, good idea

(although I hate the creepy aspect of meeting people I buy/sell things to...bought an xbox from a dude at a mobile at 3 AM and it was a weird, weird, weird encounter)

also sold a computer monitor and some hippie showed up and then we had to wedge it into his hippie bag and it turned me off on the whole "craigslist" thing...but this is probably worth a try.

Craigslist isn't bad 95% of the time. The main problem you're going to run into is getting e-mails from people offering you half of what you're asking for the item. Just put in your add that you're firm on the price and stick to it.

Craigslist is perfect for your situation because it's free and if it doesn't sell....it's no big deal.
