I'm going to Vegas, baby!

OK, just got done booking a trip to Vegas in April. This will be my first time. Actually it will be my first real vacation ever. I have a few weeks to plan and I want to see as much stuff as possible.

Hit me with your recommendations. I want to know what places I need to visit, restaurants can't be missed, sights I should see. Trying to keep a budget so dropping big money on a bunch of shows isn't really my thing. I might gamble a little but I'm not big on gambling. I will be looking for photo spots though. I will be bringing my camera and taking a ton of pictures.

So what do you think, Planet? What do I need to see in VEGAS?

Well, if you're not going to gamble much or see shows, I guess there's not much to do other then go to a strip club.

The package we got includes 2 cirque tickets. We'll probably go to the Beatles show. We might go to another one if we feel like it. I'm just not looking to spend a ton.

I'll be with my girlfriend, so the strip club is probably a no-go. Those places are usually ripoffs anyway.

I was kidding about the strip club.

I think you will find plenty to do just walking up and down the strip. I love downtown, so I reccomend taking a cab to Fremont for one night and just walk around and enjoy the light show.

I just went for my first time 2 months ago. Vegas is awesome!!! If you booked through Vegas.com and have free tickets I highly recommend KA over the Beatles show. I also recommend you budget for taxi's over the monorail. The monorail is cheap but you will spend 20-30 minutes of extra time walking to it and from it to where you want to go. You will be doing enough walking and eventually you will hate the monorail

If you like to drink and party, then here is my #1 tip. Rent a Limo one night for 1-2 hours and have them take you to a liquor store. The savings in booze will almost pay for the limo. We had 4 people which helped, but with 2 you will still get a great time and maybe get lucky in the limo I recommend Presidential Limo I think you can book them for $60 per hour.

Walk through Caesers palace it is a neat place to see all the stores and stuff inside. I went into planet hollywood it was pretty neat to see different instruments and stuff of musicians.

I am going again in May, and will hit up a few others to check out. Gambling in planet hollywood was expensive so I won't be doing that again. Tables were $25 minimum.

OK, cool. I am also trying to get a feel for which casinos are most worth seeing.

I don't feel like dropping a ton at the tables. When my old roommate used to go to the boats, I would spend $50 at Pai Gow or video poker and see how long I could milk it. If they had $1 tables or something I'd probably play something awhile for fun.

They have $1 tables at Slots of Fun by Circus Circus. But that's a long way away from the Luxor. They have $5 tables downtown everywhere but the Nugget.
