Would you trade the no. 1 pick for Cam Newton?

We ran into this topic late Saturday night in another thread.

I personally don't like Cam at all. He's got a ton of talent, but is an absolute idiot. He can't even learn a full playbook. Newton has put up some big numbers, but they haven't translated into a lot of wins.

He is 13-19 as a starter over 2 years.

58.9% comp | 7,920 yards pass | 40 passing TDs | 29 INTS | 1,447 rush yards | 22 rushing TDs |

Would you give up our no. 1 pick for Cam Newton?

Pretty sure the Panthers would choose Newton, and that's all that matters.

If the other side won't give him up, WHO GIVES A SHIT?

Shall I start a 'would you trade DJ for Andre Luck' thread? How about 'would you trade Poe for the Denver defense, Wade Phillips included?'

You must be trolling me so I am not going to get worked up.
A thread can be hypothetical and interesting such as this one.
Or not such as your suggestions.
Have a nice evening.

It's 3 years old. Some started the conversation on the slimmest of whispers that the Panthers might trade Cam to someone [for which there was never evidence], so it was a serious discussion. Some others, and some of the same usual suspects, have brought it back up as evidence that it's something that should have happened, or it was a good idea we should have forced through, or to 'prove' they're right about QB scouting, or to express their same tired general dissatisfaction with the QB position.
So no, it's not some random daydream fantasy. For the combatants here, it's SERIOUS BUSINESS, the most reeruned serious business this BB has humored in a while.

I can see why it would be brought back since he is lights out now. I'll bet a lot of people said no back then I know I would have.I think it was brought back for that more so than we could have had cam newton instead of alex smith.

Butthurt is continuing to bitch about a trade not made, that never would have been made no matter what, for 3 years.

That, or you've convinced yourself that winning the Battle of BlackBob is vital to your self worth, which is just plain sad.

What's next, a spelling context with nastynut?

So ignore the thread. You are whining that the thread exist and offer up nothing relevant to the thread the dozens of others have . Seems simple. Quit being a bitch.

The BCD logs on to Chiefs Planet
The BCD sees many threads
The BCD sees a thread that he does not care about
The BCD moves on to the next thread without opening or posting in that thread.

This thread has been around forever without a word from me. My response was solely directed at RMF's 'huh, interesting question. What idiot wouldn't trade Fisher for Cam?'

That's just a dumb question. Why not a 3 year exploration of whether we should have traded Percy Snow to San Diego for Junior Seau after he broke his ass on a moped?

But face it, this thread is surviving on pathological Alex [and Fisher, and our fate in the 2013 draft] hate and using BlackBob as a [well deserved but pathetic] punching bag. The former are faaaaar beyond our control and the latter is just sad at this point.
