****Official 2013 Tailgating Thread****

Just a place to keep track of who's going to games, where they'll be, what they're cooking, what they're drinking, drunk at 10am stories, etc.

Leaving Wichita at 4:30 A.M. for the Dallas game. Always enter the stadium through Gate 5. I have been stuck behind a stupid "Win"nebego on several occasions. Luckily I go right upon entering the parking lot and park in the grass outside of Lot D so I don't have to hang out with that crowd.

Just kidding, I've seen your group several times outside the gates but I've always been to shy to say "hi." Beautiful women make me nervous.

It's usually just all the guys and me, unless someone brings their wife/girlfriend.

You should definitely say hi sometime. We are used to strangers knocking and wanting to see inside, and the guys are used to "internet people" asking for "luv"...lol.

We leave Springfield at 4-4:15 am to get that spot in line. Our tailgate spot has gotten to be quite popular, so we get there early to make sure we get it.

Going to have to show my girlfriend who is a huge Packers fan from Green Bay what tailgating is all about.

Hopefully we can make the trip this year to her first game at Arrowhead.

Not for sure. I'm sure you could find a deal on stubhub or something.

And I have to say that the Omaha Roller Girls are an excellent team. They made it to Regionals this year. They have a junior league that I would highly recommend. They're legit. Make sure to tell them that a Springfield Roller Girl sent you.

I have taken her skating at your Springfield location a few times. The one off the HYW 60
That floor is huge compared to Omaha's.

Someone posted tickets on our internal classifieds and said the market value for the Cowboys game is ~$200/ticket... the market has never been better for bad football.

Wow. Looked up stubhub, and the cheapest I found was $150.50 for the following:

Section 332, Row 22, 1-3 tickets
Section 318, Row 10, 1 ticket
Section 341, Row 43, 1-3 tickets

I joke that fans start with a clean slate every season, since we end up talking about the same junk... do preseason games matter, etc; jump off bridges when they lose a game and talk playoffs when they win a game..... but, I wonder if it actually is true.

I understand to some extent why people keep season tickets, and I'm sure Cowboys fans are helping to drive up prices (which is only slightly less mind boggling).... but $3-400 for a pair of tickets to see two teams that have combined for 1 playoff win since 1997? Oh, but the Chiefs have a new GM/coach/retread QB, which has worked out so well in the past decade.

Great business to be in though, where actual results don't matter... I'd totally buy an NFL team.

I'll be at nearly all the games, but no tailgating for me. Will be working concessions as a volunteer to get some credit for my daughter's dance tuition in the upper level, 320 (I think) is the stand, for any of you that are up there. I'll be the cook, but everyone in the stand is there with the same not for profit that we work through, so if you tip them, you are tipping me too

If you do eat there and something isn't to your liking, feel free to PM me and tell me about it and although I can't really do anything to make up for it (as in giving you something free), I would be more than happy to try to make it better for next time. A lot of the other stands are worked by union people that don't give two shits, but like most of the NPO groups, we do try hard to get people what they are paying for. And yes, I agree the prices suck, but with the numbers that we sell, I'm not sure we would ever be able to keep up if Aramark didn't set those prices so high.

I'll be in the back SE corner of Lot A. Parked in the grass. We will have 50+ strong. American flag above a Chiefs flag above a KU flag...can't miss us. Cooking breakfast and drinking lunch.
