Alan Wake
Just finally finished this game. Was pretty fun and well done. Would've been better in first person. Anyone else play this game?

I haven't played it. Looked really promising, but heard it was a flop.

I'll also add that the DLC "American Nightmare" is fantastic.

The combat got repetitive- that's the only problem I had with the game. Everything else was on point.

I thought Alan Wake was spectacular. If youre into heavily story driven games, this one is great.
Loved how they would separate the game into episodes, and each one would end with a cliffhanger, TV series style. You think youre going to just finish your episode and quit for the day, and then wham. Youre hooked because you have to see what happens next. Id suggest grabbing the two bonus DLC for that, The Signal, and the Writer. They extend the story pretty well and they were pretty fair on the cost. The Arcade title, Alan Wake's American Nightmare wasn't a true sequel, and it did lose a bit in the hooking me with story element, but what they lost in that they definitely made up for with the gameplay. Way more combat oriented, and some really sweet weapons to use, as well as many more variations of the Taken. Im still hoping for a true sequel to Alan Wake. Damn good game IMO.
