Vote for the person that you think would win this match in a battle to death or submission. As background, assume that prior to the tournament you received 10 minutes of training on every weapon. The time listed is the amount of time before the match where you learn what the weaponry and venue is.
Venue - Inside a carnival Fun House Starting Distance - 134 feet emaw82 Main Weapon - 3 smoke bombs and a solid sharpened stick Backup Weapon - Hedge Clippers Prep Time - 9 Minutes Special Factors - Your opponent must wear a mild shock collar that you can implement once per minute with a verbal command alanm Main Weapon - A sawed-off shotgun with six shells Backup Weapon - None Prep Time - 24 seconds Special Factors - You have a prissy cheerleader on your side who hits like a girl and is unarmed (and won't carry weapons), but who really wants to help you. |

It'll be very difficult for a sharp stick and hedge clippers to take out a sawed-off shotgun. It'd be doable with the setting and smoke bombs, but I have to go with the firepower over strategy without knowing more about emaw. Plus alanm will be extremely motivated with his cheerleader.

I think the prissy cheerleader is the difference maker here. alanm has a huge initial weaponry advantage, but emaw has major camouflage ability with the funhouse environment and the smoke bombs. By implementing the shock collar, he can probably keep track of where alanm is due to the sound of alanm grunting with pain.
Emaw only has two chances. First, he can trick alanm into shooting into the wrong place six times, which is tough to do, particularly since he only has three smoke bombs. So that plan is out. Second, emaw can generate a lot of chaos with the mirrors and the smoke, then simultaneously shock alanm and charge him, hoping that alanm will miss during his convulsion and that emaw can stab him with his stick or clippers. It's a high risk plan, but possible. He'll likely have a small window of opportunity. However, enter the cheerleader. If she's sticking with alanm, I think she'll hold emaw off for just long enough to let alanm recover, and then alanm will employ the shotgun to great effectiveness.

I wonder how the skewed perspectives of a funhouse would affect both mobility and aim.

Pointed sticks never worked well on Monty Python either.

No one is taking the pointy stick over a shotgun. Nevermind, I see emaw must have voted for himself.
