Official thread for NFL cuts as teams reduce their rosters to 53 by 9/4.

I'm interested in keeping an eye on the Bears, Seahawks, and Cowboys WR cuts.

Rumor has it that Seattle is shopping TJ Houshmandzadeh. Currently they have Deion Branch, TJ Houshmandzadeh, Mike Williams, Deon Butler, Golden Tate, and Benjamin Obamanu. If they can't deal TJ one of these guys may get released.

Bears have Devin Hester, Johnny Knox, Earl Bennett, Devin Aromashodu who will make the roster. Then they have Rashied Davis, Freddie Barnes, Juaquin Iglesias and Greg Matthews of whom only 1 or 2 will make the squad.

Don't trade for Sam Hurd. The Cowboys have Miles Austin, Roy Williams, Dez Bryant, Kevin Ogletree, Patrick Crayton, Sam Hurd, and Manuel Johnson. One or two will be available.

I'd trade for Hurd if we can make it a package deal and get Stephen McGee, as well.

Yes, but that's more of a trade for McGee, than Hurd.

Unfortunately the NFL is very QB thin and, except for Leinart or Pat White, I don't see anyone noteworthy getting released.

As booger has talked about, Jarrett Brown or Nate Davis are going to probably shake loose from the 9ers, and Brian Brohm might shake loose from the Bills.

All three would be worth a look for this team.

I'd take a look at Brian Brohm. I'd also rather have Pat White on the roster than Tyler Palko.
