Is White only in Mini Camp so the Chiefs can get some good press?
It seems like you have to do something dumb to get good press like waste a third on Mo Clarett or give White a chance.

Yea pretty much. If you ask me, this is one of the most overblown stories ive ever heard. This kid has ZERO chance of making it in the NFL. Hes a poor mans Gino Torretta if that tells you anything.

No.
The QBs with strong arms hurt Carl when they stroke him, so he needed a weak armed one.

You guys guess is as good as mine. I think it is a camp fodder thing. They are working out a bunch of receivers and need some cheap help to throw to them. I doubt the Players Assn. will allow them to use vets at a rookie camp. Come Monday, White will be headed back to Norman where OU will give him a job keeping the alligators out of the swimming pool. Hey, don't laugh, he had that job during the summers while at OU and not one alligator ever got in the pool.

Yeah, bringing in White's going to give the Chiefs a media frenzy that should last, oh, two or three minutes maybe. In Oklahoma.
It's been hilarious listening to talk radio the last two days while chief Oklahomer Neil Jones treats him like he's football Jesus. Enough already. Now can we talk about some of the rookies who will actually play in the NFL? Although I did like Doug Tucker's wild conjecture about how maybe we did it as a favor to our 2006 head coach, Bob Stoops. |
