and look down the road. Next up of course are the Rams. While I hope we can pull out a 4 quarter completely dominant defensive performance, plus put up 35 against the weak Rams D, I don't think we will win this game. We may come close, but no cigar. That puts us at 3-4. This is when the band wagon will begin to get a lot lighter with the ominous 3 straight left coast road trip. I think if we can win 2 out of those 3, leaving us at 5-5, we have an outside shot at the play-offs. The remaining 6 games have us playing Buffalo, Carolina, and Denver at home, and San Diego, New England, and Atlanta on the road. Based on performance at this point I think all three home games are winnable, while wins at Sand Diego and Atlanta are also. The New England game could go either way. The best case scenario would put us at 10-6 and with a shot, (depending on how others do obviously). However this is all a moot point if we tank that road trip.

As gut wrenching as this loss was, it pales in comparison to last year's. These games are what make this rivalry great. I will never fail in my support of the Chiefs. I may be critical of them, but I will never give up on them. I think we have great potential to be competitive THIS YEAR. While I don't think there are any play off wins in our future, I still believe we can get there. Our youngsters will continue to make mistakes and learn, but if we can stay competitive and squeak into the play offs, we could compete for the whole banana split next year.
