Yup, it's a shit draft, no doubt about it.
Oh wait, sorry, the NFL prefers to call it a "depth draft"..... Depth....as in hardly any starter quality players available past the 1st round. |

This is a really deep draft, it just lacks blue chip quality players...or so they say. |

It's a BS line fed by the NFL to keep you interested in watching and talking about football. "Depth" draft..... As in, the majority of these players are going to be buried on the Depth chart. Players are suppose to be taken from best to worst (loosely obviously), so if it's weak at the top, then it's even weaker at the middle and especially at the bottom. This is 2009 all over again. |

This isn't a top heavy draft but it's one where the second round starts in the bottom of 1 and ends at the bottom of 3. This is exactly the type of draft where you want to have multiple picks...

Five years from now this could be looked at as one of the best drafts in decades. Everyone is just talking out of their asses right now <---even this guy.

There are so many players with risks, huge upsides, problems, reeruned combine numbers, etc. There is no clear anything outside the top 5 or so and even those guys are debated. Here's where your GM earns his money...

They say quantity and quality is better at the OL & DL well then get a playmaker early so you get higher value for him. If there is less playmakers to get and your a team in need of playmaker or QB best get one early. There should be OL & DL quality guys later in this draft.

There is barely a handful of guys at the top of the draft that are quality. |
