Alex Smith = Franchise QB?
He made plays when he absolutely had to. I honestly didn't think he had it in him, although, he was a #1 overall pick....so there was always talent there. Thoughts?

That playoff loss had nothing to do with Trent Green's performance on the field. A QB shouldn't HAVE to score a TD on every single drive to stand a chance. That version of Trent Green with next years offense (return of Charles and improved line) would be a legit playoff contender.
