Pest's Mock 4/13 - Now with more trades!
The Arizona Cardinals trade the 1.24, 3.86 and 5.159 picks to the Kansas City Chiefs for their 1.18 and 6.193 picks. The Cardinals trade up to grab Todd Gurley.
The Kansas City Chiefs trade the 2.49 and 4.118 picks to the New York Giants for the 2.40 and 5.144 picks. 1.24 - Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest The Chiefs trade down, add a pick and still get the player that they wanted. Sean Smith is in his contract year, and while I think they need to get him a new deal......we still need someone opposite from him. Johnson comes in and starts with Gaines in the slot and Fleming rounding out the top 4. 2.40 - Nelson Algohor, WR, USC The Chiefs turn around and trade up to grab Algohor. This team desperately needs another WR on the opposite side of the field from Maclin. Comparisons to Reggie Wayne and similar numbers to Maclin make this a perfect match for the Chiefs. Maclin and Algohor on the outside with Wilson in the slot. 3.80 - Clive Walford, TE, Miami Fasano is gone and this team could use another TE to go along with Kelce and Harris. Reid loved his 3 TE sets last year until we didn't have a 3rd TE to run them. Walford can block and catch and gives Smith another target in the short and intermediate routes to go along with Kelce. 3.86 - Hau'oli Kikaha, OLB/DE, Washington We still have no clue how the Justin Houston saga will end. Will someone sign him to an offer sheet before the draft? Will they work out a trade on draft day? Will they **** us over and sign him to one after the draft? All I know is that Hali is more than likely gone after this year and we still need a 3rd pass rusher when that happens. 3.98 - John Miller, OG, Louisville Here's your starter at RG. Case closed. 5.144 - Mike Hull, ILB, Penn State ILB is a big need for the Chiefs and unfortunately the draft doesn't fall to where we can grab one early. Mauga is shitty enough that Hull starts after the middle of the season. 5.159 - Rob Havenstein, OT, Wisconsin Havenstein is someone that you can get up to speed in the 1st year and start in his 2nd after Allen and Stephenson shit the bed once again. 5.172 - Clayton Geathers, S, Central Florida Safety depth is needed. 5.173 - Shaquille Mason, OC, Georgia Tech Mason should take the route that Kush took. Sit for two years and learn the system and the nuances of the position. 6.217 - Tray Walker, CB, Texas Southern Depth for when Cooper finally gets cut. 7.233 - Kyle Brindza, K, Notre Dame **** Santos....because that's why. |

I had Havenstein in my mock in rd 3. That's where a lot of experts had him going. Love the guys game. He owned at the Senior Bowl

I know this guy is one of the better pass rushers, but I cant get over how freaking slow he is. A 4.9 forty at 253lbs? thats just awful. Team just gave fanaika decent money and have fulton and allen. I just dont see this happening. he is 6' tall, 237lbs with short 30'' arms. He is undersized for the 3-4. no complaints here. |

agree with nearly everything planet doc wrote.
i dont think we need a guard at all either, but i do love john miller so i'd be happy with him in the 3rd. also think kikaha is going to fall to atleast the 5th. i can count on one hand how many undersized, and unathletic pass rushers have become great players. also disagree with the general opinion that "andy reid loves 3 te sets" we ran 3 te sets because thats what our personnel allowed, not because andy reid loves it. that being said, i do like walford though. johnson, agholor, havenstein, mason would all be great though. |
