The only reason the bacon runs away with this heat is that I'm assuming that the majority of CP'ers haven't sat on a dock in Sillery Bay with a chicken neck tied to a piece of twine dangling in the water and a long handled net dipping for crabs. Taking those home and then steaming them up while they are covered in Old Bay is one of the greatest culinary smells in the world.

Don't know the name of the bay, and we used drumsticks rather than necks, but when I was stationed in Ft. Meade in the late 80s we spent many a Saurday morning/afternoon catching a basket of the little critters to eat that evening.

I never caught them myself, but when I lived in DC we used to drive up to Annapolis and eat soft shell crabs. Fantastic

I travel to DC, Linthicum, MD, Chantilly and Arlington several times a year. Love crab cakes. Have crabbed. Nothing about any of that smells good to me. Crabbing smells like stinky-ass ocean fish smell to me.
Guess its all in the nose of the beholder.

Sesame Chicken smells great. Blue crab sounds good, so I voted for it even though I've never experienced it. Summer desert is relaxing, spearmint is refreshing and bacon frying will probably be in the finals.
