Above Ground Pools
Any of you own an above ground pool? What are the pros and cons? Any models that you would recommend? Or any tips on owning one?

Not necessarily. Depends on the topography of the lot and the expansiveness of the surrounding decking.
I've seen some setups that look pretty damn nice. As nice as an in-ground pool? No. But far from trash. |

This. If you put decking all the way around it, doesn't look too shabby. Slap one of them bitches in the middle of your yard and use a ladder to get in? Trashy as shit.

I just went through this ... My wife picked out a 33 ft by 54. I wish I knew everything I know now before I started this process.
It looks great ... It's basically a baby lake with the size we went with. It doesn't look white trash at all. However, like I said it's a crazy process and expect them to trash your yard. I am still in the process of yard recovery. |

Not worried about the white trash look because a) Got a friend who is a hell of builder to add on my deck b) another friend is a professional landscaper.
