I think a lot of it had to do with Quinn's comments about Belcher. A lot of commentators seemed mighty impressed.
As for keeping Quinn, I would rather keep Quinn as a backup or placeholder for a 1st round QB than Alex Smith since Smith will probably take draft picks to acquire. |

Eh, I don't know about that. Statistically, it was the best day of his career, and he had the highest QBR in the league last week. It's notable as a one-time event though probably not as a predictor of future success.
