I thought Gun would improve the D, but I think the primary reason for the D's improvement is Holliday's injury.

As a result, we've seen Browning and Allen at RDE in the last 2 games, not to mention Hicks for a couple of plays last night.
And we've seen Dalton and Siavii in the middle as a result of Browning's move to end.

Dalton has been blowing up the O-Line and getting penetration, while Browning has been far more produtive at End than at DT.

Add in Gun's more aggressive scheme, and we are getting better overall effort all around.

What I've enjoyed most is the CB play. While it's not been spectacular, it's not easy as pie for a team to dump the ball to a WR for a 5, 6 or 7 yard gain because our CBs are playing 10 yards off the ball.

Amen to that. Almost every play I saw, the CB's were near at the line of scrimmage, lined straight up aganist the WR's. We win some, we lose some. But it sure as hell is alot better to lose while you're up right at his face, than to lose by standing 10 to 15 f***ing yards off from the line of scrimmage.

This is the one area that I thought Gun's influence would be felt almost immediately.

McCleon doesn't really fit into Gun's D, but I thought that Warfield and Bartee would really benefit from Gun's 'in your face' style.

I think I was right about Warfield, and I hope that Bartee will show the same improvement when he gets healthy.

Yep...they have made steady improvements in each game..its been encouraging so far. Last nights win will hopefully be a HUGE bost for their confidence and is really something to be proud of. Id still love to get a pass rushing specialist at RDE though...we have gotten almost nothing out of that position since 1999.
