Would you pay a monthly fee for a service like this when watching football?
Every time I watch the games on TV I keep seeing more and more crap on the screen that takes away from actually seeing the play on the field.
On ESPN they have the 28/58 feature. Then I think it’s FOX that has a feature that is basically an advertisement for their fall lineup that displays the shows they offer. I have caught myself reading that information when there is a play going on and I miss the play. Or they have brought up some advertisement on the screen in the lower left corner and it’s blocked me from seeing the touchdown pass. What if you had the ability to show your fantasy football scores on the bottom from the leagues you are in? Say Yahoo made their stats available and they could download the information for you and it would be real time. Am I the only one going to the computer during the broadcast to see how my fantasy team is doing? My question is would you pay a small fee say $2.95 or something like that to have the options to not display the adds and the stats of players? What about to view your fantasy football information? What else am I missing that they could offer? |

I like CBS's new stat tracker at the bottom of the screen. I would gladly pay to not have to sit through the annoying commericals the networks broadcast. I realize that's never going to happen, however.
The worst commercials are the self promotion ones...the incessant replay of the same teaser about the next CSI:Miami after the 3rd quarter, you're wanting to kill David Caruso yourself. A few years ago it was the ill fated Max Bickford. I really hated Richard Dreyfus that year.

No.
I would, however, like to see those annoying player introductions removed from Monday Night Football. I do not like having to watch annoying 4 second clips of players introducing themselves. When they read it straight, it is boring. When they try to be clever, it is annoying. Can't we please go back to just a picture and let the announcers introduce the players? |

I would pay a monthly fee to get all the extra crap off my television, not add more to it.
