All I've found is this...
Rumors are circulating around Arrowhead about a practice brawl breaking out among some of the defensive backs and wide receivers in the week leading up to the New England game. http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansas...s/10285715.htm

I had heard nothing of it, it is however a good sign for you guys IMO It shows there is fire in a team that has not played as well as the should. They should be short fused right now. As a fan I like to see fire even when it may be too late.

The Fox show said it was isolated skirmishes. Kennison vs. a young D back (Sapp?) and Dante vs. Warfield (whoa, I'd think Warfield would kill Dante). They asked jokingly if LJ went after DV.

I think he also said that in went on for several minutes, as each time they thought they had it contained--another skirmish would break out. The reporter also said it wasn't "offense vs. defense" though it sure sounds like it. Should have had the TiVo running.

I heard a rumor of it a few days back, but it was nothing substantial enough to actually give credence to. I'm trying to remember where I heard it from.

Several NFL players told Fox NFL Sunday of a fight last week at Kansas City Chiefs practice that was unlike all the other normal simple practice skirmishes. According to the players, the brawl started when WR Eddie Kennison threw his helmet at young DB Benny Sapp. That simple fight turned into a complete scrum that involved half the team. It was low-lighted when WR Dante Hall ran across the field and tackled CB Julian Battle from behind. The scrum, which had little rhyme or reason (i.e. it wasn't an offense vs. defense fight but rather a whole big cluster among the combatants), continued with skirmishes breaking out while others were being broken up. Every time one fire was put out another started. It finally ended several minutes later and the team was officially put on notice by head coach Dick Vermeil and QB Trent Green that such an incident needed to stay in house. In fact, when contacted by FOXSports.com about the melee, several Chiefs players refused to comment. In fact, the only statement made was that Coach Vermeil would take action against anyone who leaked this incident out of the bag, although many players around the league heard of the incident from their friends on the Chiefs. The incident also should not be misconstrued as some festering problem within the team. All indications were that this was simply a freak incident stuck within perhaps the strangest week of sports we've all seen in a long, long time. http://msn.foxsports.com/story/3197980

I heard that Eric Hicks lost his battle against Lawrence Tynes, but took full responsibility for it afterwards.
Seriously, though, this is weird. This entire season needs to be kept from the media.

I thought DV mentioned this in an interview about how the DB's were practicing knocking the ball out of WR's hands (to try and prevent fumbles like the ones EK and JM have killed us with lately), and he said when they practiced it, fights almost broke out between the two units.
I thought he mentioned this after the Saints game when Morton fumbled. |

If drastic changes of any type (new GM/coach/players) are not made after this season, I will be even more pissed than when DV tried to keep Knobinson on staff after this season.
