Both the Sporting News and Fox Sports are reporting that Dennis will start over Warfield this Monday.
What's up with that?? They both are struggling. Seems like they would try something different. Cunningham himself said you forget Bartee's out there because they don't throw to his side of the field very often because he always has his man covered. Bartee might struggle also, but you won't know until you try!! |

Hrmmmm... I dunno. I like Wesley better than Dennis, though.

Yosef,
Oh, me too, but Wesley's a safety not a corner! Bartee is now listed as second on the depth chart, ahead of both Dennis and Gray (imagine that !?!?). If both are repeatedly getting burned, then wouldn't you think you would try another option??? Cunningham says one thing and does something different. I know, I know, I'm a slow learner but geeeeessszzzz!!!! <P> |

My mistake. For some reason, I read "Warfield" as "Wesley". I was WONDERING why Gun would put a corner in the safety position.

You guys keep saying that Dennis has been getting burned and that is a fallacy. Dennis has been given the task of covering the opponent's best receiver, because the Chiefs have been using Limp Willie's idea of having the corners cover a side of the field, rather than matching our best corner with their best receiver regardless of which side he lines up. At the same time he's been asked to give that receiver a 7-10 yard cushion instead of lining up at the line and playing aggressive bump and run. That is a formula for failure. The fault lies with Spurt ad Limp Willie, not with Dennis.

I could have sworn I read one of the coaches saying that Dennis was not real strong in bump and run. I just say put Bartee out there and live with it. Dennis is a 6th rounder or something like that and that is how he is playing, and Warfield has been and always will be a fraud...

This decision coincides with what Goober has been saying all year. One week this, the next week that. One week he blames the defense, the next week the offense. I personally think Bartee should start, but, what do I know. I am more concerned with Dennis's missed tackles, when you play downfield like Shaw wants him too, you had damn sure know, you are going to have to tackle.
