My first woodworking project ever. Would like some feedback.
I posted a while back that I got a new puppy. Well, we started shopping for dog houses and were absolutly shocked at how much those damn things cost.
For an "igloo" model (basically a piece of shit plastic mold in the shape of an igloo) for a full size dog was $125+. So, because I am not willing to pay that much for a piece of plastic, I decided to look on the net for plans. I found one that I was particularly drawn to and decided to go with it. Total cost for this doghouse (not including most of a sunday) was 40.00. I am no master craftsman but I think it came out pretty damn good. I still have to do some painting on the roof (which is removable BTW)... I am thinking of writing her name across the roof or something. The fruits of my labor: Thoughts, comments, or suggestions? It's people like you, who make me feel useless... Good work!
And I think no matter what anyone on here says about anything, your true sign of good work comes from the canine seal of approval shown in the pics. If the dog likes it (which she does), and it looks nice (which it does), it's all good. Moooo |

Congrats. Keep at it. Maybe one day you'll do something like this:
That's a trophy and the pedestal was made by yours truly and then painted to look like bronze by Stevieray. |

Here's another wooden pedestal painted by Stevie.
Guess who the trophies belong to: |
