Uh Oh, I've Started Something Here...
My wife has to work tonight so I'm taking the kids up to her work and we're doing fireworks during her lunch break. I couldn't wait and lit a few off in the front yard. Now the neighbors are starting to do it too. It's still a couple of hours 'til dark but everyone is breaking out the noisemakers.

I've been breaking the law today by setting off some firecrackers in my backyard. It made me feel 'edgy'. Like I was flippin' off the man!

It's not fun for me unless I get to light them off. Hmmm. Alone on the Fourth and contemplating getting loaded. You should at least try blowing something up. Pop a Mentos into a Diet coke or something.

I thought it was poprocks?

Anyway, I could have gone with dad to tommykat's place, but I don't like being around all of them when they get drunk.

Definitely not going to get loaded. Decided against hard liquor. I do believe I'll have a beer though. Once I decide to pass out, it'll help me sleep better. I'm sure I'll here the banging, popping, booming, and screaming of fireworks until at least 2AM.
