1990 DeBerg = 2006 Huard
I think we have an eery comparison here....
In 1990, DeBerg threw for over 3,400 yards, 23 TD's and only 4 INT's.... Huard is on pace for 3,200 plus yards, 22 TD's...2 INT's.... Both were veterans that were asked to "manage" games and not throw picks...both seem to be "in the zone" and in command of the offense. Both had an outstanding running game and "serviceable" wide receiving corp. Both QB's were journeymen and/or backups....etc etc If I remember correctly, DeBerg didnt get the starting job due to injury right??? Anyways....props to Huard, and props to DeBerg....if only the phantom holding call didnt happen in the playoff game in Miami...Lowery's kick would have been good..... |
