Can I have my sig of Carl Peterson back? Thank you.

I will make it smaller. Some mod must really hate the mighty King Carl to completely revoke my sig privileges. Would you rather me make it my avatar? Maybe I'll do both..hmmmm I need to change my avatar anyway. Just too lazy

Nope, guess again. One of the best GM's in the game. He deserves to be tributed by at least one chiefs fan. Since I've not encounted anybody on this board who actually likes Carl, I feel it is my duty to stick up for him.

Have you not read my posts? Look at the Chiefs before 1989 and before Carl got here. Ok have you done that? Ok now go look at the Chiefs during the 90's and ever since. Ok have you done that? Ok good.

How can you place blame on a guy that gets you in the position to make the playoffs every year? You can't. I suppose it was his fault we went 10-6 last year and missed the playoffs? Newsflash! 10-6 almost always gets you in the playoffs.

To all of you who say, oh well Carl needs to just start from scratch after a bad year. Here are reasons why it would of been a bad idea to rebuild. Lets look a few of our good seasons shall we?

1990 11-5 ....8-7-1 the year BEFORE
1995 13-3 ....9-7 THE YEAR BEFORE
1997 13-3 .... 9-7 THE YEAR BEFORE
2003 13-3 .....8-8 THE YEAR BEFORE
2005 10-6 .....7-9 THE YEAR BEFORE

What conclusion does this lead to? It would of been a bad idea to rebuild those seasons based on the fact that we had a good season the VERY NEXT SEASON.

When your team's worst seasons are followed by your teams BEST SEASONS this is indicative of a great GM. I guess we should of rebuilded all those years we went 13-3 huh?

Lets see more evidence.. o ya. Chiefs are the 3rd most winningiest team in the 90's. Yes, the same era that included the mighty 49ers, Cowboys, and Bills.

I know how you think a GM should go out on the field at playoff time and win games, but I've yet to see any GM do that. A GM's job is to put your team in a position to make the playoffs year in and year out. Carl Peterson has done that.

Lets take a look at the seasons before Carl Peterson shall we?

1988 4-11
1987 4-11
1986 10-6
1985 6-10
1984 8-8
1983 6-10
1982 3-6
1981 9-7
1980 8-8
1979 7-9
1978 4-12
1977 2-12
1976 5-9
1975 5-9
1974 5-9
1973 7-5-2

NOW LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT LIFE AFTER CARL PETERSON

1990 11-5
1991 10-6
1992 10-6
1993 11-5
1994 9-7
1995 13-3
1996 9-7
1997 13-3
1998 7-9
1999 9-7
2000 7-9
2001 6-10
2002 8-8
2003 13-3
2004 7-9
2005 10-6

WOW LOOKS ALOT BETTER DOESN'T IT?
The best record the Chiefs had the 17 years before Carl was 10-6. The 16 years after Carl's hiring we've had over half of those seasons be better than that. Considering we went 10-6 last year, and many of us saw that as a dissapointment says alot that the mentality that Carl has molded the Kansas City Chiefs into.

That's nice. But I like glory, not many years of not being shitty.

Two playoff wins. Zero Lamar Hunt Trophies. Zero Super Bowls. Zero playoff wins since 1993. That's personally why I myself don't like Carl Peterson.

No we don't think that the GM should go out onto the field at playoff time and win games.

We think that a GM, at some point in his tenure, should be able to field a team that not only makes the playoffs, but actually advances.

Carl hasn't done that.

Nobody gives a rat's ass about teams that win regular season games.
You are remembered for what you are able to accomplish when the games really mean something.

3 playoff wins in 18 years.
3 ****ing wins.

That is pathetic.

**** Carl.

The sig police noticed that violation. We stepped back recently in light of tragic events, but this offseason will be scorched earth. NO TRANSGRESSORS. OUR WORD IS LAW.

don't worry I can't post any threads because all of the mods are ashamed of the fact I was so right about the Damon Huard/Trent Green debacle.
