LJ on NFL Network.....
Last night LJ was on NFL Network and his comments about the front office leave me a little concerned about the damage the whole TG situation is causing. He says he and the other vets are worried that they will be treated unfairly when their contract comes up. Carl needs to get this behind him and move on.

This whole thing is getting blown up because Trent was the starting QB. The Chiefs view him as the MIA starting QB therefore Carl is wanting fair compensation. The other vets on the team have nothing to do with this.

This doesn't make sense. Trent is not in contract talks with the Chiefs. Trent wants to play for another team and Carl wants fair compensation for giving him his wish. LJ should just shut his mouth. The compensation the Chiefs get should help the team he is currently on get better.

Let's see, if Trent reports to camp, the Chiefs owe him somewhere around 7 million. If he is traded before then, I wonder what player whose contract is coming up might get some of that money? I'm having trouble coming up with a name, anyone got any idea?

So you are saying that Carl Peterson shouldn't try to get the best deal for the Chiefs? So you must think that a player under contract is entitled to dictate to his boss where, when, and on what terms he will do something. The front office people have jobs to do also. They cannot just let good players go to other teams for nothing.

Before he became a starter, LJ was criticized for not being a team player. What he was doing was supporting a teammate.
After the Portis screw up, I'm sure players are even more careful what they say |

They'd make a mistake to give away a starting QB and not get jack shit for compensation. Hold it out, trent brought some of this upon himself. Carl's job is to get the best for the team. You don't give away former pro bowl qbs.
