Roy Williams

I read this on the WPI forum-

K.C. is offering runningback Larry Johnson, their 5th overall and a 3rd round selection for wide receiver Roy Williams, Lions 15th overall and a 4th round selection.

I will stop being a Chiefs fan forever if this actually happens. This is the most absurd thing that I think I have ever read. This is NOT "ideal for both teams".

Wow.

If that was actually true the Chiefs should be laughed at because Roy Williams wants to go back to Texas..let's trade for a guy that we can't keep.

Yeah, this one definitely makes more sense. It looks like this deal favors the Lions a little bit, but you’re right, a potential win-win trade.

Yeah Right // March 25, 2008 at 5:56 pm

You dopes think this is going to actually happen? Why not ask for the Chiefs 2nd and 4th round selections for nothing more in return, just to top it off. lmfao

sportsaddictforlife // March 25, 2008 at 6:12 pm

It’s called speculation. A trade is rumored to be happening and people then discuss what might be the ramifications of the deal.

Da Plane! Da Plane! // March 25, 2008 at 6:12 pm

Someone is living on Fantasy Island, you moron. Why would even think about “reporting” this? Carl Peterson is the single most inept GM in all of football, trumped only by your own Matt Millen, and not even he is stupid enough to entertain this “trade” for even a second.

You must be in cahoots with that butthole Nick "The Erroneous One" Athan at WPI to come up with this drivel. I highly doubt that you are him personally, however, since you seem to have a rudimentary grasp of grammar and spelling.

Hootie // March 25, 2008 at 6:37 pm

I like this trade. Please do it Carl or I’ll never suck your dick again!

Carl Peterson // March 25, 2008 at 6:38 pm

Just to clear things up, we’re doing this deal to get rid of our good players, and bring in a guy with a valuble expiring contract. I learned this from the NBA. Bitches@

WakeUp // March 25, 2008 at 6:57 pm

Take Larry Johnson out of the deal and it might just be fair. The Lions then may have a shot at McFadden.

NA // March 25, 2008 at 7:17 pm

Also Saunders will be announced the coach of the lions by Thursday…my sources tell me.

You Chiefs fans should really lighten up. At least they have made the playoffs recently, there are quite a few teams who can’t say that.
Geez! Half the fun of sports is the trade rumors. No matter how ridiculous they sound to some people.

As for Johnson, why is everyone acting like he is an elite player? Sure he had a good season and a half, but really.
He had a breakout “year” at the end of 2005 (When most other players had already endured the first half of the season), then in 2006 he had 416 carries and finished second in the League in rushing. And last I checked he missed half of last season with a foot injury. He is also 28, which means he is closing in on the age when many runners bow out.
And if you check the stats, Kolby Smith had basically the same stats as Larry did last year.
The Chiefs might as well try and take advantage of the high value Johnson has been deemed worthy of.
However the Chiefs have the big problem of that contract they gave him in order to keep him happy that could hinder deals.
