I'm surprised they didn't send a Dbacks coach with them though (although Romeo could be taking point on that one) because I'd think they'd draft a DB in the late rounds like Shaun Prater. |

Shonn Greene Bob Sanders Robert Gallery Chad Greenway Casey Wiegmann Dallas Clark Bryan Bulaga Tony Moeaki (his one year he was healthy) There are some more I can't think of right off the bat but all these were already in the pro bowl or will be in the pro bowl numerous times. You sir, need to get out more. |

When you consider that Iowa rarely lands the same caliber of athlete that bigger programs do, the number of guys they send to the NFL is a testament to the coaching. They put out fundamentally sound football players.

I'm a Husker fan and even I know that Iowa cranks out solid athletes for the NFL.

Maybe it wasn't players at all. Maybe they are there to meet with Romeo's eventual successor.

I know some like to joke/rail Pioli about his ties with Ferentz/Iowa but in all honesty it is one of the handful of schools in the country you know the players offensively are going to be NFL ready guys and have had excellent coaching. Heck defensively they were led by the elder Parker forever and he was a very good coach.
I know the spread is the big thing in the college game but always keep your eye on the bigger schools that run a Pro-Style offense, those are the schools that the NFL teams drool over. |
