Sound system halp.
Got an RCA yesterday and its speakers blow. We tried jury rigging up my Philips 2 speaker stereo plugged through TV's headphone jack, but nothing sounded right and there was a lag where sound wouldn't match the screen.
So, I'm wondering what's a cost effective option for improving our sound quandary. Any advice on what I should get ("home theater" or PC speakers + sub) and where I should go? Casino Cash might be dispensed. Thank ye! |

Going to need more information. First, what is your definition of cost effective? Second, what video sources are you using?
Additionally, going through the headphone jack of your tv is never going to work well. I'm assuming you have a digital cable box and not using an antenna, so did you try hooking your speaker system directly to your cable box? |
