What Position Would You Like Up-Graded(non-qb)?

So, for a non qb, it has to be the 3 tech or the Z (Wr #2). Both those positions are a disaster right now.

But seriously, 3-tech. I have no idea how the scheme change will affect the guys we currently have here, but I have a hard time believing any other player but Poe will be that much better off. Allen Bailey has the strength/speed to beat blockers if you give him the assignment pre-snap, but he's just got no moves at all. The crafty offensive linemen will shut him down instantly. Tyson Jackson? Pssh. I wish.

If we're moving Poe around a bunch, or even putting him at the 3 full time and using DeVito as the NT, I feel a bit better I suppose. But then our NT is kind of a gaping pile of AIDS.

Basically, let's hope Poe is awesome, and then I'll use my one wish in this thread to ask for just one more awesome defensive linemen. Then we should be good.

Aside from the obvious 3 tech and Z players I'll throw out one nobody has said yet.

CB. We'll see how Sean Smith does, but I don't have much faith in Dunta Robinson at all, especially against WR's like Wes Welker.

If we get good players to fill our needs in FA, or if we're on the board in round 1 and there isn't a good QB, 3 tech or WR available, I'd draft the CB from TCU. We're gonna need good cover corners and Reid likes have a lot of good DB's on his team.

Do you want a guy on the outside to relegate Flowers to the nickel or do you want a nickel guy who can move Flowers back outside?

Probably a nickel guy, but it depends on Sean Smith. If he does well, we can just get a guy who can cover slot receivers.

If Sean Smith flames out, I think we need to get a CB who can deal with bigger WR's since Flowers has had a little bit of trouble with them.

Would love it if Sean Smith worked out and we got an awesome nickel. I like what the Seahawks built and I think in today's NFL it's a good foundation for a defense.

I'm calling it now. Dunta either gets glass vagina'd on the injury report nearly the entire year, or one of the other CBs beats him out of a job.

Okay, that's more based on hope than anything else. Even with his struggles last year, I like Jalil Brown a lot. I think he takes a bigger step this year and actually becomes a solid contributor on defense.

we had a guy that could cover wes welker type guys in Arenas but we traded him for a fullback.

Have we cut that fullback yet?
