Someone should tell that one guy that Joe Montana is still alive. It'll make him feel better.

From what I've seen Smith is no where near what Gannon was at his high. And I doubt Alex will ever play in a SB.

You can say all you want about error free football, no turnovers, ect. but at the end of the day This O isn't going to score enough points in the post season to advance.

Now, IF, they start running the ball sooner in the game with success to help the O-line in pass protection and throw the ball down field to Bowe, (fat chance AS gets that brave) then they have a chance, but until then, we are just setting ourselves up for another 13-3, one and done.

At his high, Gannon was 34-37 years old, lol. He didn't start to put up numbers as good as Alex has till then... and he was in the Raiders system for 3 years before he put up his "high" numbers of 4,000 + yards.

Thus far, Gannon was WAY more a badass in a Chiefs uniform than Axl has been.

Gannon's first 11 season's he only started 58 games. Four of those seasons he started 0 games.

It wasn't until '99, his 12th season when his run started in Oakland of four straight seasons of 16 games started and it was that fourth season, not third, when he surpassed 4,000 passing yards, 4,689 to be exact with 26 TD's and 10 picks.

Smith has only had two seasons where he started 16 games, 2006 he finished with 58% comp, 2890 yards 16 TD's and 16 ints. In 2011 61% 3144 yards, 17 TD's and 5 int's

And this with everything in Smith's favor in today's NFL favoring the passing game.
Don't talk to me about this many games from last year to this year or from this team to that team cause it doesn't count. All that matters is that he does it in the same season, for this team to make it a winning one and in the post season.

this is alexs 8th year in the league. The past two were anything but SUCK, and he hasn't sucked this year.

But yes, no one should say anything about Kaepernick, who has less tds, and less yards than ALEX SMITH despite him being in the same offense for 3 YEARS, alex has been in this offense for 3 weeks.
