SceneItAll Tournament: Round 1, Heat 108
I'll give you a bonus heat today since I'm home sick and kind of bored.
The rules: In Round 1, I'm going to put up three randomly selected scenes from the nomination thread. You'll vote for your ONE favorite scene among the three. The key here is FAVORITE. We're not talking about the 'best' or 'most powerful' or 'most meaningful'. We're talking about the scene that you most enjoy watching, however you define that. The winners will move on. I'll also take the 10 highest-scoring second-place scenes and they'll advance as wild cards. Some of our nominations did not include clips. This will be noted. If you find a clip, please post it and let me know so I can update it if it moves on. I hope this is the right scene. This one best matches the nomination description. |

My votes in a heat that's not wowing me:
#1 - The Notebook. I think this should've included the ending, but whatever. I like the notion of a love that transcends this mortal coil. #2 - Return of the Jedi. The look on Darth's face as he's watching the Emperor attack Luke is priceless. You have to be a great actor to pull that off. #3 - Kindergarten Cop. I wonder if the nomination was supposed to be the more famous tumor scene, but this is the one that was nominated. I found it to be somewhat nondescript with Arnold inserted for fun. You know, kind of like his housekeeper.

I had the element of surprise. I never post more than one heat per day, and today I put three up. No one expected it. It was like the ending of The Usual Suspects.

Nope, this is the one. I nominated it because it's awesome and hilarious. I probably nominated the tumor scene as well. I pretty much nominated every Schwarzenegger scene ever.

Oh, okay. Sorry for analogizing it to his housekeeper, then.

Posting three heats in one day significantly damages the validity of this exercise. I refuse to participate any longer.

I was afraid of that. If it makes you stay, I'll stop criticizing Will Farrell.

Return of the Jedi is the scene we're looking for. It moves on to the second round.
