Every trope and cliche is used...and reused...

yes he does. I was so disappointed with The Conjuring. The last movie I enjoyed of his was the 1st half of Insidious.

That was one of those trailers where they pretty much show you the whole movie. I hate when they do that.

I think this trailer looks kinda dumb. Chucky again.
however....I did think the Conjuring was pretty good. cliches are in there yes....but how in the hell can you POSSIBLY make a modern horror without doing that? everything has been done....and done again. everything. maybe I thought it was good because I saw it in the theater....and I didn't know much about it. my wife hates horror movies....and she especially hates demonic horror movies. we got there late and missed the start of whatever movie we came to see. so I talked her into seeing the Conjuring. didn't take too long before we realize it's gonna be demon crap and she was PISSED! I thought it had some good scares. maybe it works better in a dark theater....

I saw The Conjuring this last weekend (recorded it during the last free preview weekend). The first half was creepy as hell. The second half (maybe last third) was kind of dumb, though.

alright folks......let's not get overly critical here.
Conjuring was well-done, without any cheese, or cheap laughs/gags. Fun time in the horror genre. And for the chucky comments.......you must not have watched Conjuring, as Annabelle never killed anyone.
