I think the easiest job in the world is being the Browns' graphic designer.

Or maybe it's the hardest job in the world. I'm not sure.

No. It's brown, not black. And the orange is slightly different than last year.

So long as you don't name the next color you come up with 'jiggaboo brown'

That's not even logo.

You could consider that as part of their brand identity though.

Technically, a logo is a specific type of "mark." Logo comes from the Greek: λόγος logos "word." The kind that is a stylized word/font. It stems from the Greek logos. Some call it a "word mark" or "logotype." Exxon, Coca Cola, Kellogg's, Walt Disney are good examples.

Wiki has it sort correct but they lump it in with a symbol which is just another kind of "mark." Often both are combined. Then they use IBM's for an example when that's another kind of "mark" called a monogram. ( the worst kind for a new company; but IBM is well known and can do it; it's International Business Machines )

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logo

I do like the new Dog Pound identity though. Much more clean and simple while being more stylish. Much easier to reproduce than that other dog.

Most classic and best book I use to teach design fundamentals, which covers what I said in my post, is this:
