Eric Fisher doesn't suck
He's quietly having a solid season. I know that will piss some people off because he isn't playing like a former #1 overall pick, but it's the truth. The bottom line is if he becomes an above average LT it was still much better than taking Joeckel, which is what Pioli and mostly all the other GM's would've done.

I didnt watch the game but read the line from left to right was:

Fisher, Grubbs, Morse, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Allen


Why did Reid wait so long to dump Stephenson?

While true, Reid doesn't like to make changes like that during the season. I'n not saying it's a good or bad thing, bc I understand the desire to have that continuity. What other reason could he have had to make the change? Allen's been healthy for a while now.

His preseason play at LT, along with injuries elsewhere along the line, made it a calculated risk that him there, and shuffling others around him was preferable to him anywhere else on the line, or a backup backup taking his place for a spell.

Not the most elegant sentence, but it sums up the inelegance of the strategy.

Because he didn't have a viable option at right tackle until Allen was healthy.
