Some Chiefs love From a Bills Board

http://boards.buffalobills.com/showt...-seem-to-do-it

How do the Chiefs seem to do it?

It seems no matter what type of team they have they always seem to find a way to be right in the mix for the playoffs and find ways to win games. I mean only the Chiefs could be 1-5 and be leading the Wild Card 4 weeks later. Im not sure how they do it. I mean they didn't even have a WR score a TD last year and they won what? 9 games? Thats insane. Only the Chiefs could overcome something like that. ONLY THEM. Even the year before they started out 9-0. How? They were never that good (11-5 finish and 1st round exit kind of proved that). And now this year. They start out 1-5 and lose Jamaal Charles for the year and STILL find a way to lead the Wild Card before the end of December. Its just crazy. This team always finds a way no matter the circumstances. How do they do it?

Also, the past 2 games they have played us has been pretty amazing. In 2013. You know the Jeff Tuel game. The Bills completely dominated that game on all fronts yet somehow lost by 10. The pick 6 where the Bills were leading 10-3 and on the 1 yard line of the Chiefs was only something the Chiefs could pull off. We ended up getting nearly 500 yards of offense and had 13 POINTS! 13! The Chiefs didn't even get 300 yards and had 23 POINTS. 23! We had 200 more yards of offense than them and lost by double digits. ONLY THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS COULD PULL THAT OFF.

Then last year with the Bills leading 10-3 Bryce Brown takes a hand off and runs to the end zone to make it a 17-3 game BUT he fumbles at the 1 yard line and the Chiefs get the ball. Again, only the Chiefs pull that off. We of course lose the game.

I have nothing against the Chiefs but this team gets extremely lucky every year somehow and it drives me crazy. We have dominated them in the past 2 matchups and came out with 2 losses.

Here are the highlights to the last 2 Bills Chiefs game. Its torture to watch.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

On that note, screw the NFL web site. Do they really need money so badly that they have to constantly put ads up in their videos? Do they really need money so badly that they're willing to constantly and repeatedly annoy NFL fans who are trying to see highlights?

At some point they need to get a competent management team who will realize that the profits are driven by a love of the sport, and not by imbedding annoying ads every thirty seconds inside videos.

I really hate the NFL's current business philosophy. I hate every square inch of it with a passion that I used to have for football.

Chiefs have good coaching and a legit starting QB.

Alex Smith isn't in the elite tier of NFL QB's, but he's proven he's somewhere between game manager and quality NFL starter especially with a good defense and supporting cast. Same reason he'll move the ball fairly easy against this defense similar to guys like Eli Manning and Dalton.

From another thread:

It's not how you start it's how you finish. Yes KC was 1-5 and dead in the water after losing their best offensive player to season ending injury, but since then statistically they have been one of the best teams in the NFL especially on defense where they are flat out dominating in just about every key metric.

Yes our defense has also been improved but nowhere close to the level KC is playing at. And when you compare offenses it's hard to see where the points are going to come from especially after we could only muster 13 points against a Pats defense that's pretty good too but also nowhere close to KC.

Add it all up and this game has trainwreck written all over it especially if we turn the ball over early and Taylor continues to struggle.

"Buffalo Bills: Bills coach Rex Ryan is calling this a "huge, huge game" and he's right. It could determine which of these two teams earns a wild-card playoff berth. In their four-game winning streak, the Chiefs are second in Total QBR (83.0) and first in opposing Total QBR (9.4), so both their offense and defense have been clicking. On a short week and playing their third consecutive road game in a notoriously loud environment, the Bills face a huge test. Chiefs 17, Bills 10. -- Mike Rodak

It's really funny that at least part of another fan base sees the Chiefs as a team that coincides with good luck.

This is the Bills we're talking about. 0-4 in 4 STRAIGHT SBs with one of a handful of the best offenses, defenses and absolutely one of the best QBs in league history gives them a different outlook on our peculiar woes.

Only one other 0-4 SB team in league history, the Vikings, and even that wasn't 4 straight.
