Chiefs Offseason Planet Evaluation: Anthony Sherman

Time to give Patton's Third Army his end of year evaluation. What do we have to say about Mr. Sherman?

He appeared in all 16 games this year, making 3 starts. He gained 40 yards on the ground (2.9 ypc) and 1 TD, and added 47 yards in receptions at 7.8 ypr. He also recovered 1 fumble.

The day Reid lines up Sherman and Hunt in the I formation and pounds the ball in from the 1 is the day I will have to call a doctor about my erection lasting more than 4 hours.

I have no idea why this team runs on short to go plays from the shotgun. It’s absolutely reeruned.

Sherman is a light on a dismally dark franchise.

Agreed. not sure why Sherman didn't receive more carries in short yardage situations.

Of course Andy Reid's preferred play on a 3rd and short is usually a triple reverse/Kelce throwing the ball to a third string offensive tackle, eligible as a WR.

One of my favorite current Chiefs, he is quite possibly the best at his position in the league and yet is criminally underused

Great blocker, great special teamer, ugly yet effective pass catcher, and proved he can tote the rock quite effectively when finally given a damn chance

A+
Slightly exceeded expectations with running skills
Much larger role
Stable abilities
Gimme a 4th

I voted for houseboat myself, but I'm a little surprised that it's winning. I figured more people would opt for speed.

I've never been on a houseboat, but it seems like it would be great. Well, assuming that it's air conditioned.

I think most of the people on this board are between 45 and elderly now, we don't want speed anymore.

I wish I had done a poll back when I joined, so we could draw longitudinal conclusions.

Quick thread derail - as someone who hopes to retire to a houseboat full time, and has looked around at used models quite a bit, its a no brainer IMO

Full kitchens and baths, laundry rooms, spacious and airy living rooms, spacious lower level party decks with upper level sun decks, all well taken care of, can be had for 40-50k

Its my idea of Heaven on Earth

This is a stupid question, I'm sure, but what are the costs to anchor or dock your houseboat? I recognize that a dock will cost money, but do you have to have a full time docking spot? If you took your houseboat out to the middle of the lake, can you just live out there and dock once a month to get food? Or is there a curfew for being out on the lake?

And is it different for a small lake versus something like Lake Superior or the ocean?

I havent looked too hard into slip fees yet, guess it just depends on how toney the marina in question is, but yeah I'd imagine it has to be full time

All lakes are probably different on the rules, but even here on my smaller (325 acre) local lake, people can take their boats out all night if they want to, go spend the night or weekend in a cove etc

For me, you have to have a full time dock. It's docked 90 percent of the year with full power and water hook ups. You still party in it when it's docked but cold out. Watch fireworks on the 4th if you don't want to be in the crowd, etc.
Houseboat are the absolute goods.
