Asked if Berry would be ready to go on Sunday in Los Angeles, coach Andy Reid was non-committal.

“We’ll see,” he said Monday. “It’s day-to-day. We’ll see how it goes.”

I'll be honest, this is the type of thing that concerns me. I feel like we were told Berry and Houston were day-to-day in previous years then later we find out that there was more there we didn't know. Now in this case, Berry is coming back from injury if he's not ready for game one just tell us I'd prefer not to kick the can down the road every week.

I will say this, I think its time for Berry to rework his deal. I'd prefer he stay a Chief, but he has to be available.

Yep. But, not having full disclosure regarding player status is nothing new for the NFL.

You may be right, however the Texans do it a LOT also. Perhaps they should get a pass with Billy-O being a Bellichek disciple. Regardless, whenever I year it, I just tell myself that Player X isn't playing....I expect the same with Ragland this season as well in that his seemingly non issue swollen knee will end up being worse than they let on and cause him to miss a lot of snaps.

Why would they tell potential paying customers that there's the possibility that one of the stars they're possibly paying to see may not possibly play?

I haven't read this whole thread, so maybe this has been discussed, but I am not sure they can rework it and make it anymore team friendly.

The earliest out on Berry is 2020 and that would still be 8 mil in dead money.

He got more return for his $$ on Berry's 3/4 of a game than he did for the final 2 years of Matt Cassel's contract.

If Berry was a charity case, than Cassel was a robbery and a rape. Not necessarily in that order.
