Let's see.
AFC. I hate Oakland. I hate Denver. I hate Miami. I don't like Baltimore. I don't like Tenn. The Colts are OK because Manning is a class guy. NFC. I hate St.Lous. I hate Minnesota. I don't like Philadelphia. i don't like Tampa Bay. I don't like New York. I don't like New Orleans. So I guess it is only the Colts that I sympatize with but one team won't cut it. As I ponder a little bit longer, I love only the Chiefs and HATE all the others. **** them all. GO CHIEFS 2001. [This message has been edited by Red and Gold Mania (edited 12-24-2000).] |

Hard year to pick, as there are no clear run-away favorites. In the AFC, its hard to pick against the Titans, but I like the way Baltimore is playing. I have no respect for Miami or Denver, Indy is too inconsistent, and I don't think Oakland could hang with either Tennessee or Baltimore.
AFC Pick: Baltimore (tough call over Tennesee, but what the hell) In the NFC, my early favorite was Minnesota, but they are currently reeling from a three game skid. Their defense will kill them in the end. I still don't know where the hell the Giants or Philly came from, and don't think they have what it takes to advance. New Orleans' offense will kill them. That leaves St. Louis and Tampa. I don't think Tampa will beat St. Louis twice. NFC Pick: St. Louis Superbowl Pick: Warner is getting back in the groove, and the St. Louis offense is starting to look like last year. Despite their shitty defense, I look for the Rams to sweep up from the depths and win it all, again. |

I'm praying the Saints beat the Rams this weekend. I like the Saints but I think Tampa is the only team that can go into NY and beat the Giants (since they have home field throughout). Both are very physical teams and the weather is going to suck.
I'll take the Ravens or Titans in the AFC. |

Baltimore over New Orleans or Tampa.
Not because I like the teams, nor do I think they will win, necessarily. They are the only three teams in the playoffs that have never been to a SuperBowl, and they deserve a chance. Honestly though: Tenn over St. Louis due to superior coaching and big-game experience. MM ~~Always roots for the underdog when the Chiefs are out. If the Rams beat the Saints, the Rams would then have to play the Giants in NY. I don't see the Rams winning that one.
The chance of the Rams getting back to the Superbowl are very slim. |
