Rivers just sucks, and he will get treated like an unwanted step child against the Ravens.

Why pass on the Chiefs when you can run all over the place on our D? Seriously, our Pass D is mediocre at best.

We had a good pass defense last night. As a whole though it hasn't been as good as it should've been. But that's because we can't learn that having Pro Bowl DB's doesn't help if you don't have good pass rush.
And really that's why we had good pass D last night... a lot of Gun's blitzes were actually pretty successful at creating pressure, making Rivers move around, etc. |

Ty Law has really gotten better with falling down at the right moment. I think he saved a TD by falling in the right direction.

Statistically speaking, the Chiefs pass defense is ranked #14 in the NFL. Rush defense is 18th. Total defense is 15th. The one important stat, though is how the Chiefs rank in sacks. They are the 26th ranked team in # of sacks. Need some better defensive tackles and a replacement for Bell for this cover 2 scheme to work. I would also like to see the 2 young safeties starting.

well buckin that would depend on who you ask. Most chief fans are tired of the same shit year in and year out. Our pass defense has the ability to be one of the better ones in this league on any given sunday. The talents there. It especially helps when we can get some pressure on the qb which also happend last night. The chargers got the better of the chiefs in regards to a pass rush. But we did get in rivers head. I thought all in all our pass D played a good game last night. Chief fans need to remember that rivers has carved up defenses this year. Hes not great but he gets the job done. Lets give our defense some credit here ppl. They played a good game last night. Take away that 85 yard run LT had and he has an average night against us. Good game though. You guys are clearly the better team.

Our pass D hasn't been that great, but last night it looked pretty good. Obviously this was because our blitz was working at getting pressure.
The problem with that is all the blitzes likely had something to do with LT running all over us all night as well. |

Gun said we were going to get after rivers. I guess he lived up to that claim. Herm on the offense opening it up? not so much. But green looked like shit last night. Blah

You don't need to worry about Rivers, you need to worry about Marty S. 5 playoff wins in 20 years of coaching (zero in 13 years) pretty much says it all.
