What are your top 3 possible Free agents you'd like to see the Chiefs sign?

I'm bored and got football fever. Since it's pretty likely free agency will begin in a few weeks go on record and list your top 3 guys you'd like to see the Chiefs sign.

1. Steve Smith (NYG)
2. Micheal Bush
3. Aubrayo Franklin

Both Brandon's MUST be resigned, or the verdict is FAILOI.

(That would be Pioli + FAIL for those not keeping track at home)

Fully agree. I think Flowers has every good reason to hold out, though I doubt he would. Rather than wait for his contract to expire, why not just pay him today? I know it's silly to pay a guy more money when his contract is for less, but I don't see any problem with that if you're doing that in a year where you're sitting on a ton of cap space that you'll never get back again. Same goes for D-Bowe.

Signing Hali, Carr, Flowers, Bowe, and giving Cassel his $7.5M bonus... that will fill up our available cap space really fast.

When did I say it was nothing? I'm saying that if people are saying we have to spend $35M, that option will knock it down to $27.5M. If I'm not mistaken, that option isn't factored into current projections because it hasn't been extended yet.

Reading alot of this is funny because the NFL doesn't even know how much cap space anyone has at this point. I'm sure the NFL and the teams are frantically working on it but until the teams were briefed on what will become the new CBA they had no way to know.

I do think, however, that when both reach their ceilings, that Carr will be the better of the 2.

But, regardless, both can probably be locked up to long term deals that, combined, won't be equal to what Asamoghua will command on the open market.

While the Chiefs have a boatload of money to spend, I'd rather see them spend it improve areas of the roster that have actual needs, than see them sink it into one palyer in an area of strength.
Would you trade Carr for Nhamdi and a second round pick?

I would.

Don't get me wrong, I would be happy as a fat boy with a whole chocolate cake if we locked up both corners long term...but I don't think an NFL team can ever afford to pass on profit of talent and picks.

Really though, it's a moot point because NA will be a Buc as soon as a cba is done.

Nhamdi is Carrs ceiling and that hypothetical would also yield a profited pick.

I still would like Asamoghua , Flowers, and Carr to go along with Berry and Lewis. Teams like the Packers, Colts, Saints, Jets, Chargers, Pats, Falcons... to name a few are set at QB, have multiple talented WR's, and solid TE's. Those 3 would be on the field quite a bit of the time at the same time.

You really can't have enough talented CB's to go against teams like that, or those teams will pick you apart. I think Rex Ryan knows that too, because in spite of having a heck of a CB tandem the Jets went out and picked up Cromartie last season because Ryan knew he needed them to get past the big dogs in the AFC. Damn near got it done too.

Trade a pick?

Yes.

Lose a player for a player.

No.

I'd trade a 5th for the rights to Randy Moss.

I would not trade a 6th and Jeremy Horne (still think could be a solid 2 with coaching) for a Moss.

Just me...

The question wasn't if you would trade Carr for Nhamdi.

It was, would you trade Carr for Nhamdi AND a second round pick.

IMO only a fool would say no and I don't think you are any part of that word.

Carr is 25
Nnamdi is 30

This is an easy decision.
