Your favorite play in football.
I gotta say that my favorite play is the sack, especially from a defensive tackle.

The idea of having the athleticism, power, and technique to beat a super athletic 330 lbs lineman to get to a quarterback soon enough to prevent a pass by overpowering him and throwing him to the ground just seems like an impossible task. Especially from the interior of the line. Even moreso when the quarterback is athletic or built like a tank.

I still contend that the best sack I've ever seen, from any player, ever, was Derrick Johnson's sublime "rodeo sack" of Roethlisberger back when the Chiefs upset the Steelers at Arrowhead in 2009. I've lost the YouTube to it -- I'll rep anybody who can dig it up. But it was truly a work of freaking art.

1) Play action deep pass inside your own 5 (which is why I called the Boerigter 99-yarder at the time, which along with my "I feel a Gordon homer coming" post are my two shining moments on CP).

2) QB naked bootleg at the goal line.

I love a good interception. Probably also rainbow deep ball. Similar spectrum of plays actually...

As far as 'actual' plays go... I love a good slant. Something about the two step drop, with a qb and wr perfectly in sync that i like.

On defense i love a well executed blitz. When there are too many people to block. Love the strategy and cunning involved in a good blitz.

Same here. I'm a big Navy guy. I live near west point and used to go to all the Army home games, but they just dont get the talent Navy does. Too strict on the weight restrictions.

Pick six. the anticipation of the other team's success interrupted by the defense just destroying their plans, then the mounting excitement as you scream initially for the interception, but then louder for the defender to return the ball, and finally the exultation when you hit the end zone. It changes the game, and instead of the opposing offense taking the field and you dreading the outcome, you actually are excited for those losers to start all over again at the twenty.

I love all of these plays, but my first reaction was a flea flicker. I love a pick six or a sack on defense, but there is something about a flea flicker that goes for a deep completion that just brings me joy.
