Hunt and Dorsey

Everyone wants to make this about Andy Reid. Maybe this had nothing to do with Reid. Maybe this was 100% between Hunt and Dorsey (for whatever reason).

I remember the awkward moment they had on draft day when Mahomes was drafted. Watch the last 10 seconds or so of this video. Maybe it's nothing, but it sure looked awkward. The fumbled hand shake degenerating to a hand/fist bump; then Dorsey puts both hands behind his back and Clark gives Dorsey his back as he walks off with no further interaction. I'm no psychologist, but that looks like some awkward body language to me, especially between an owner and GM that just made a bold move to get a franchise qb.

And that there is your opinion, you are welcome to it.

It is only coincidence that three GMs didn't draft a QB over 34 years of the same ownership after the Todd Blackledge pick.

It's only a coincidence that Pioli's first move was Cassel and Dorsey's first move was Alex Smith. Of course.

It's only a coincidence that the GM that finally made the move will not be employed by the team when the QB he drafted takes his first snap.

Of course..

So you really believe that, on his death bed, with all the things he could say to Clark, like "I love you son" or "Tell my grandkids I love them" the thing Lamar chose to say is "Don't ever draft a QB in the first"?

That is possibly the dumbest thing I've ever seen on CP, and I've seen 10 years of Clay's stupidity. And BlackOps conspiracy nut stuff.

Well, to be honest, I did see a person watch a video of the War Room's reaction to the Mahomes pick, and infer that Clark was the one who was happy with it.

Oh, that is the part you think is stupid, I get that. I use that in jest to make a point on my perceived importance to Lamar, not meant entirely literally.

I have a feeling Lamar might have done some training and consulting with Clark on how to run the team, and how he wanted his legacy handled, prior to being on his death bed.

carry on

**edit** did you take a time out? You have been here 16 years and Clay 15 or 14, depending on which join date you believe. Or are you just bad at math?

The exact number of years Clay has been here wasn't important enough for me to look.

The whole idea that Lamar would have told Clark, on his death bed or not, to never draft a QB in the fist round is ridiculous. It defies common sense.

So the point I was trying to make still goes over your head, I get it. I had no idea someone would take that part literally , but I should have known. It is the internet.

Why wouldn't I have taken it seriously? It has been proposed by many, seriously, on CP for years.

The death bed thing? I thought I was the only one that was saying it, for years. You have read many people post it?

But wait, didn't you say my post was the stupidest thing you ever read on the planet, including all of Clay's stuff.

So is it just me, or anyone saying that is posting the stupidest thing you have ever read on the planet?

I am getting confused.

No, "the Hunts tell their GMs not to draft a QB in the 1st" thing. Still coming up even AFTER we drafted a QB in the first.

Just sad as ****.

These guys were turning the next major corner and building something very special. And some people think the Chiefs are just going to plug and play another body in to that role and keep achieving the same results?

Not a chance in hell.
