All of the supposed shit that people have been posting on here... i.e. the fight with his mother, punching holes in walls, fights with team mates... is 1) Not true, or 2) Greatly exaggerated.

True Fans want to justify this trade as the Chiefs needed to get rid of Marcus Peters because he was a supposed team cancer... it is not true/highly exagerrated

Case closed.
Yeah, we had only 2 teams even come to the table to talk a trade because they're all so scared of the compensation Peters will want.

The notion that Peters had all the control is silly. He was going to make around $1.5 million this year or so and I doubt he had a bunch of money saved up.

Go look up what fines cost for not showing up to mini camp and training camp? $80k for missing mini camp and $40k\day missing training camp. With those fines it would have probably took all his salary for this year. Then we aren't even getting into him missing game checks and he would have had to return to the team by Week 10 so he wouldn't lose that year.

He literally couldn't afford to sit out.

He's made about 7.5 million to this point in his career he had no leverage to sit out at all.

What a garbage trade.. how do you not get personnel or a 1st round pick for him. He's a 2x Pro Bowler and only 3 seasons into his career after being drafted 1st round. His value is enormous right now. Chiefs are on cruise control to get back to the pre-Alex 2-14 seasons.

The only thing that will save Veach and Reid on this is if Peters completely implodes.

I am talking Rae Carruth-level of implosion.

I remember how mellow our sidelines were back in 2012, and I was really proud of that as a fan.
