SD hasn't given up a 100yd rusher in 17 games

According to Adam Schefter on the NFL Network, they haven't. He said it was the longest streak in the NFL.

The interesting part is that he said this while they were discussing SD @ KC and how LJ would do. And it's kind of weird, because I would swear that I remember the Chargers coming to KC in week 16 last year, and this same Larry Johnson guy they were talking about ran for 130 some yards that day.

Maybe I'm crazy?

Sad but true.

We need slant routes and quick screens to open up the middle. Actually we need to use the pass to open up the run.

Will we??

The sad thing about a guy like Adam Schefter is that there are people that believe what he says. And if the Chargers hold LJ to 50 yards this Sunday, it will be known as fact and the truth fiction.

You know, I'm starting to think that nobody outside of KC actually saw that Chargers game last year.

We pretty much dominated them, keeping our (slim) playoff hopes alive while eliminating them from contention, yet they were still everybody's "best team not to make the playoffs". LJ ran for over 130 yards on them, but apparently that didn't count against their streak of not allowing a 100 yard rusher. Kris Wilson broke out with 3 TD catches and celebrated one by knocking down Merriman and dry-humping him, but you never see clips of that on TV.

Okay, one of those didn't happen. But it's like that game has been erased from the record or something.

The only thing worse than an idget is a midget idget.

Unless, maybe, it's a figgety midget idget. Those little buggers are annoying.

Another thing that hasnt gotten much run is that LT doesnt usually have that good of games against us. For whatever reason, we usually keep him in check.

Every game this year has gone pretty much the way I expected it to, although last week's blowout was a bit worse than I thought we'd lose. Either way, if the rest of the season follows suit, we're going to win the next two at home to keep the emotional yo-yo going, and be 5-3 at the halfway point after beating St. Loser in the dome.

I think there's a chance we beat the Chargers badly on Sunday.

You're more optimistic than me. This game feels like we're going to get F'd in the A at home, sort of like Carolina in 2004. Or worse. I'm predicting an ugly game. The Boo Birds will be out.

We're ****ed. The defense will have a good game, but they'll wilt under the tremendous pressure the offense puts on them. The offense isn't going to do shit. This sucks.
