It is indeed excellent. I also recommend the audiobook.

Yeah, I heard the audiobook was very well done. Apparently, there is a movie in the works too. I hope they do it in the vein of the book, dark and somber over the typical action zombie flick.

Brad Pitt's production company bought the rights to the movie. I'm curious to see how the book plays out on film, especially the Battle of Yonkers. Hopefully they don't pussify it.

It's the Zombified version of Studs Terkel's collection of WW2 Oral Histories "The Good War".
It's brilliantly written by none other than the son of the legendary Mel Brooks.

Excellent book, it was a fierce battle for the movie rights between Pitt and DiCaprio, haven't heard much about it in a while.
Another Brooks book that is worth reading is: The Zombie Survival Guide - Complete Protection From The Living Dead. |

It does get a bit "manualish", but I appreciated the satire without even cracking a smile that he kept throughout the book. Plus, seeing as I live directly in the city, I feel more confident putting together a plan if an outbreak does occur.

I think the shining moment of the book is the outbreak history appendix at the end. You should at least check that part out.

I bought World War Z for a friend's birthday, but haven't asked to borrow it.
