Beckwith and Ellerbe are both inside linebackers that we could use in the 3-4. Right now, the only true ILB we have is Zach Thomas. Johnson, Vrabel and Williams are better suited for the outside. Zach Follett is still available too and I thought I read that he had 5th round value?
My pick here would be Darry Beckwith. I saw some mocks that listed him going in the 4th round. Seems like that would be a solid way to close out the draft and we need more depth at linebacker anyway. Seems like he might even have a shot at starting.... |
