The Bears have gone full reerun.
Cutler meeting with offensive coordinator candidates
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on January 15, 2010 11:15 AM ET With Pete Carroll involved in G.M. interviews, it's fair to wonder if he's the one voice that matters in Seattle. A similar dynamic may be playing out in Chicago, but the voice belongs to a player. Bears G.M. Jerry Angelo confirmed that Jay Cutler is a key part of the interview process as the Bears search for an offensive coordinator. "We've involved Jay, and we'd like to have him meet with [all] the candidates," Angelo said. "He understands the whole process, and he knows we want him involved. This is not the first time we've involved a player. This isn't new to us." Cutler flew in town to meet with Ken Zampese and is expected to offer his thoughts on other candidates. Cutler was reportedly disappointed the team couldn't snare his old coach Jeremy Bates. We've got mixed feelings here. The ability to work with Cutler and play to his strengths is one of the biggest components of the Bears job. But if Cutler truly has sway in who gets the gig, it sounds like the inmates are running the asylum. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...or-candidates/ |

You think Al will let Jamarcus pick his new OC? I certainly hope so. It would probably be the counter guy at Dunkin Donuts that throws him a couple extra cream filled in the box for free.

Matt Cassel threw for 2,924 yards with 16 TDs, 16 INTs, and a QB rating of 69.9. He was the 25th ranked quarterback. They both sucked. The difference is that Cassel's suckiness cost the Chiefs a second round draft choice, whereas Cutler's suckiness cost the Bears two first-round picks and a third-round pick. Chicago got Denver's fifth-round pick along with Cutler. There is no comparison. Chicago paid WAY TOO MUCH for Cutler. If the Chiefs had given up 3 high draft choices (including two first-rounders) for a quarterback who sucked anywhere near the way those two guys sucked, CHIEFSPLANET would have melted down by now, and Scott Pioli would have been lynched. |

Says the guy that thinks Cassel is as good as Cutler. I don't know if you noticed in those stats but Cutler threw for nearly 1000 yds more and 10 tds. Right, they are comparable.

I have always thought of Cutler as a raging asshole. Even while he was at Vandy.
Regardless of his talent or lack thereof, I'm very happy he's not a Chief. I de-douched that, too. FAX |
