Lions interested in Page
http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/insid...len&id=5385568
By Len Pasquarelli ESPN.com Paper Lions Detroit has finished last in the NFL in total defense each of the past three seasons, and hasn't ranked in the top 20 in the category since 2005, and so it is little wonder that general manager Martin Mayhew and head coach Jim Schwartz are rebuilding the unit. So far, there are six projected new starters for 2010, and the Lions aren't done yet. The Lions, who at least on paper appear to be improved on the defensive side, have indicated an interest in another dissatisfied veteran who would help the revamping. How about defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, with whom Schwartz is familiar from their tenure together in Tennessee? Uh, no. Detroit insiders have confirmed the team is interested in Kansas City strong safety Jarrad Page, who has yet to sign his one-year restricted tender with the Chiefs ($1.76 million) and has requested a trade. A four-year veteran, Page was limited to five games in 2009 by a shoulder problem that landed him on injured reserve. But the 225-pounder, if healthy, would make a nice complement to second-year free safety Louis Delmas, a rising star. The Lions used three strong safeties -- Marquand Manuel, Ko Simpson and Marvin White -- to partner with Delmas in '09. |

I figured since Gunther is in Detriot. But if Page was smart he would just stay in KC. Atleast we have a decent looking future. Even with Stafford and Johnson, and Suh, that team has the shittiest of luck.

Wow, that'd be a great spot for Page.
He and Delmas would make a solid tandem. |

But if KC got a 3rd rounder or a big DT like Sammie Hill to try out as NT. Go for it!

It would be in Page's best interest to stay in KC and get the Derrick Johnson treatment?

Well if he worked his ass off and kissed Pioli's ass, he would probably end up starting. But at this rate, he won't be starting. I mean, all he has to do is beat Kendrick Lewis for the other Safety job. How hard could that be, unless Lewis turns into dynamite in TC?
