I like Vince Young and he really won me over last year when he came in when the Texans were 0-6 and turned that team around. And he is starting this year off good as well.

I acknowledged that he didn't ever play a game in what could be honestly considered the Big XII and that Vince Young was the next closest thing.

Stewart was a decent QB, but he wasn't a bona fide Big XII QB, and Young is Big XII, but he doesn't yet qualify as good. Ergo, no good QBs have ever come out of the Big XII, and those two are the closest there are (but they don't meet the criteria).

You really need to focus on next year's draft. I can't wait to see who emerges as the next great player like Vernon Ghoulston or who is going to suck like Orakpo. I learned that Texas players suck and never turn into good pros like Brian Orakpo, Priest Holmes, Jamaal Charles, or Ricky Williams.

If this thread doesn't result in a pick-em contest between Hamas and Hootie, the terrorists win. Let's just set up a thread where you and Hootie can pick games against the spread. We'll see who knows more about the NFL.
And when asked to substantiate his claims, he quickly deflects.

Oh, and I hated Brian Orakpo so much, I started this thread:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showt...ghlight=Orakpo

I was the first guy to promote him on this board.

Another baseless accusation.

Hey Saul,

While you're at it, why don't you just falsely accuse me of a bunch of other things I didn't say.

We'll start off small, like that I said the moon landing was fake and we'll eventually progress to you claiming that I said the Holocaust never happened.

Orakpo would have given this defense some serious fuel. Especially with our secondary and Hali playing the other side (as Orakpo is plenty good enough against the run to play LOLB and keep Hali at ROLB)

FWIW, this is my post immediately after we drafted Charles and some people were complaining (since I apparently hated Jamaal Charles)

Dude...

Saul Good nailed me to a T...

a ****ing T...

that's what Hamas doesn't get...and he cherrypicks this shit to deflect criticism to me...so he can save some of his "credibility" (he has none)...

I WANTED SANCHEZ...I DID...I THOUGHT HE HAD "IT" COMING OUT OF USC...

I really did.

AND THEN WE TRADED FOR CASSEL AND I GOT OVER IT. Right then...right there...and I started looking at Cassel and realizing we weren't going to take Sanchez...and I stopped thinking about Sanchez.

Both of them suck. So wash I suppose.

I WANTED CLAUSEN...I WANTED A QB...I THOUGHT COMPETITION WAS GOOD...I WANTED BERRY...WE TOOK HIM! GREAT I THOUGHT...CLAUSEN SLID...ALL THE WAY OUT OF THE 1ST...I SAID WOW! WE MAY GET AN "AARON RODGERS" 36TH OVERALL! WE TOOK MCCLUSTER. I WAS DISAPPOINTED...BUT THEN HE KEPT FALLING...AND THEN I REALIZED MAYBE HE WASN'T THE PROSPECT THE "EXPERTS" PAINTED HIM TO BE...

I mean...we had Weis...if Clausen was the next anything...don't you think the man would have QUIT ON THE SPOT IN ABSOLUTE PROTEST if he didn't get his guy?

So I looked at it objectively...he fell to 48th...I said damn...he wasn't who we thought he was apparently...and I researched McCluster...and fell in love with the kid WHO LOVES FOOTBALL.

Who didn't think Palmer was going to be the next big thing that year he put up MVP numbers? He got injured...I gave him a chance...he sucked...he sucked again...people kept talking about him as if he was still the all-pro Carson Palmer...

I laughed...I said no way. I was mocked...last year he had a few flukey 4th quarter comebacks...Mecca crowned him again...I continued to laugh...he sucked ass down the stretch and continues to show he's a Drew Bledsoe with less awareness...dude can't feel pressure...dude has little touch.

I called Romo before I even joined this board...I talked about how Bledsoe held them back...watched one half of one preseason game before Romo ever took an NFL snap...drafted him in my big $$$$ fantasy league in the last round and he won me a TON of money...

I knew he was going to be great...

and he will be great.

I did this same drill with Peyton Manning back in 2003...choker this/choker that...blah blah blah

Tony Romo will be a Super Bowl champion within the next 5 years.

Hamas, I got here a month or so after that thread...I remember you vehemently slamming Orakpo at every opportunity pre draft that year.

What changed between that thread and the months leading to the draft?

Or am I getting you mixed up with another poster? That, I guess, is possible.

and I started to like Thigpen after the Jets game...and when he played another great game the following week...and when Gailey really turned the offense around...

In all honesty...if Gailey had this offense and we were still using Thigpen as our QB...we'd probably be a better unit this year...although it probably wouldn't bode well for the future...

even though either way we're still going to need a new QB

Out of curiosity, who was Smith? Can't think of who Smith would have been in that draft.

Doucet would have been nice.

I think Mecca said he'd rather be raped with a toilet brush than draft Orakpo.

I was disappointed with how he played in the BCS game, but go look at my top 10 list from before the 2009 draft. He's still up there.

Reggie Smith, the safety.

A bunch of people were really high on he and Morgan. They both never amounted to anything in the league.

I was really high on Morgan after we drafted him, but I was wrong in that analysis.
